You need to let your body recover. To help with the soreness next time, take 500 mg of Vitamin C before the workout and eat a banana after.

Definitly! The point of yoga is to stretch out all of your muscles in ways that they don't normally stretch, so a little soreness the first few times is not uncommon. The aches WILL pass once your body gets used to the new motions, and then you'll start reaping huge benefits by keeping with the program.

You are probably using muscles that haven't been challenged in some time. It is normal to feel achy the next day. Give them a rest for a day and then go back and challenge them again. This is how they get stronger. I like to think of it this way: all those places that hurt now are the places that will look better later!

yep definitely go back if this is something you want to do. The aches and pains are normal with anything strenuous you do that you're not used to. Your muscles with stretch and actually feel better if you stick with it If not you can get "stove up" as some people call it have a good time and those aches will disappear in no time Good Luck

The aches and pains will disappear once you get used to it. I suggest that you do go back, but don't strain yourself. If you think everyday will be too much for your body, make it three times a week. Make it something that you will absolutely stick to because if you skip, there will be more days in between your workouts and eventually the workouts will stop. That happens to me all the time.

You should have gone for multiple reasons. I played softball and as a pitcher my arm was always sore...on those days I always pitched my best. It's good to keep working your muscles once they hurt...it keeps pushing them. They are sore because you aren't used to the work however as long as it just stays a soreness you are okay. Eventually your muscles will get used to the work and won't hurt near as badly. But don't just stop because they hurt...because if you start to work them they will "loosen up" and feel better than ever. It may take a while to loosen up but once they do they won't hurt for the rest of the excercise...however they will start to hurt again after you "cool down." Don't forget to stretch before a workout and to cool down after you are done...it will help to prevent soreness from being so bad...

The soreness is caused from lack of oxygen to the muscles which happens anytime you do exercise and get short of breath (breath hard). When that happens, tiny tears appear in your muscles and they can't fix right away (the soreness) latic acid builds up and both of those things combined cause the sorenes...

Your muscles get used to working under this kind of environment and that is how one week they will hurt but the next week under the same conditions they won't.

It won't hurt to rest for a couple days, then return to the gym/yoga classes. Your body will adjust and very soon it will stop getting sore after exercise.

Your muscles may not be used to the work out so they hurt it's alright to keep going to yoga class.

Good for you! Completely normal.

Let your body rest for a day or two and go back. Your recovery times will increase but you still may find you need a day in between.

Also do some cardio (walking, machines) to strengthen your body and boost your energy.

Remember, any exercise is better than no exercise.
