First of all, have anyone seen Satan in all flesh and body before and still live to tell the tale?
It's okay for a kid to dress up - complete with the two horns and long red tail. After all, since when did we read in the Bible that Satan is a midget in red with 2 horns and a red tail - resembling a cartoon character and carrying a long fork around???
The meaning of Lucifier is "Morning Glory" - which means he is no ugly fool - but one with good looks - except that pride was his downfall and God banished him and fellow fallen angels down to Hell. If Lucifier is ruler of the darkness, what makes you think that he is small in size?
As such, go ahead and let your kid wear it for an occasion - but just remember to tell him or her the truth that the devil is bad and God is good. After all sometimes, kids act like small devils in the house even without wearing the 'uniform'...haha..

They are just kids let them dress like the devil if they want to for Halloween. It don't mean they worship the devil. You would let your kids dress as spider-man, angels, Jason, Pirates, Maids, Sponge-bob, Dora, and so much more. So why stop them from wearing a devils costume for Halloween? Would you stop them from wearing a maid custom simply cause maids are kinda like slaves? Would you tell them they can't dress as sponge-bob because he is not real? After all if your letting them dress up then your letting them celebrate Halloween so why complain about them if they want to wear a devil costume? Several churches do plays for Halloween and they dress up as the devil. Some put on plays to show what "hell" is suppose to be like and they dress up as the devil. So if its OK for them to do it then why not your kids?

You state: "Two five year olds, one wants to be a good angel, the other wants to be the devil" -- This is innocent, and would be fun for THEM.
The adults will not understand, BUT WHO CARES!!
The kids are happy!!
The kids are happy!!
The kids are happy!!
Obviouls no problem, except for adults, and again WHO CARES ABOUT THEM!!
They are adults - the CHILDREN DO NOT UNDERSTAND ADULT CONCEPTS!
They have 7 years before adulthood - better pack in the memories - they will be adults very soon.
I better stop, I can rant for hours about how stupid adults are, how strangers try to interfere in parents being parents.
Oh, how I hope you have a great Halloween with your kids!! A big BOO! from California.

As long as you let them know the devil is not someone you actually want to try to be and is a very bad bad thing, and that it is just for fun. Halloween is just for fun right, or are the politicians changing that too?

tremendously religious; I pastor a church. I do enable my teenagers to objective this, and it fairly is for a pair of aspects, regardless of the popular Christian view that we could shun Halloween for the reason that pagans beautify with witches and such: First, Halloween is a Christian holy day from earliest circumstances. It was put in October to stamp out Samhain, a pagan harvest opposition (like we did with Christmas and Easter). at contemporary, pagans, secularists and hollywood have made the trimmings of Halloween a spooky hodgpodge of monster videos and disney characters, even nonetheless it truthfully became a Christian journey to memorialize the fallen saints of the faster. So, i do no longer desire the devil taking considered one of our celebrations and calling it his, that's form of what happens whilst nicely meaning Christians retreat from the day and abandon the gang, limit their young ones, and instruct the lights so as that each man or woman interior the community will comprehend that they are grouchy Christians who hate the best deal. we are alleged to gentle a comfortable, no longer very truthfully curse the darkness. the different element is, it incredibly is our optimal probability to witness to others. placed on a bible gown, supply out the friendly candy with a tract rubber banded to it. improve with spiders, bats, black, cats etc. Why? because God created a majority of those and advice they have been incredible! i do no longer enable my toddlers to be witches and ghosts (demons), yet sons and daughters as a rule gown up like fairy princesses and such. The older toddlers as a rule like the macabre stuff, and it fairly is an afternoon to memorialize the ineffective, so if skeletons they could desire to be, it incredibly is going to be tough to assert "no." yet needless to say no Ouija board events, dressing like or pretending evil. it incredibly is out. substitute the pondering of diverse Christians to get on board with keeping our historic previous instead than parroting an analogous junk approximately how Halloween is the devil's birthday and such. One 365 days, we had the adolescence group over and we beat the candy out of a devil pinata, and then study the morbid study from the Foxe's e-e book of Martyrs. That'll scare em into respecting their religious freedoms, enable me make it easier to comprehend. besides, "Halloween" is Christian. somewhat some the stuff linked with the way it incredibly is celebrated is merely no longer. So, whose going to exhibit the international the version? I certainly have a sermon CD in this if somebody is .

this is just my personal opinion
Being a Christian and a mom of two...
I wouldn't let my kids dress as Satan. To add to that, I don't let them dress as anything evil....monsters, etc.
I just think we are letting satan get a foothold into our home.
That's my opinion anyways.
