If the Chinese were defending their country from the U.S, they would win...
If the Americans were defending their country from China, they would win...
If they fight for nothing, they would all go down in vain, no longer powerful countries.

You need to watch less MTV and read more go to the US Army War College. China can deliver a nuclear blow, as well as, a man power blitz. In October 1950, China entered the Korea war and kicked our butts. They dared us to drop the atomic bombs on them. They knew their population was so large that for us to be able to put a dent in it would have caused so much atomic energy to have been expended the world as we knew it would have ceased to exist. Well, they have even more people now; we would have a hard time using nukes on North Korea, as due to their proximity to South Koreas we would be killing an ally. The North Koreas rolled over the South in 1950 but would have a harder time this time but would prevail. Japan has a non-aggression Constitution but I believe they would have to come to the aid of the South. If not and the North wins and eventually rolling over Japan. I don't think American could stop them this time, too much political correctness plus bog brother China. No, North Korea would not be someone anyone should wake up! Oh and by the way, our defeat and China winning would have nothing to do with our forces being any where else. As the CIA tried to tell every President from Truman to Regan, you can have a superior ship or aircraft but if you have three ships, firing at the one or five jets to the one the many will win. For example, the CIA and NSA now are admitting the new diesel class sub by the Russians; North Koreans and Chinese are as quiet as our Nukes. The only advantage of our nukes running longer.

No, only kids, literates and that bunch of professional losers believe that garbage of aggression. Have you ever wondered why China is everyone friend and why everyone in a political situation listens to them and takes their advise?

Depends on where it was and what it was about. There is no way for us to take hold of China, so the only thing we could do is cripple it economically and industrially. Think Iraq part 1 and 2 times about 100.

If China were to try and invade the US, the boats would get within about 250 miles of the shore and then would all become permanent natural reefs in about 10 minutes flat. Any boat they did land would have to deal with the fact that the US per capita is one of the most heavily armed countries in the world. Most gang bangers shoot more ammo on a weekend than a Chinese infantry recruit gets to shoot in his whole career.

Given these facts one could expect the Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) and Navy (PLAN) to be decimated, eliminating their offensive combat power. We would also hammer down any exposed armor or infantry units, but they could hide enough infantry underground to make invading China impossible.

One might even expect the limited use of tactical nuclear weapons by boths sides. You get kinda mad when a million cluster munitions kill 15,000 people an 500 vehicles in 30 seconds....

It can't happen -- a full-scale war. The countries are now too interdependent economically. (Bear in mind the European Communities were invented to tie France and Germany, and specifically their iron and steel industries, together so that warmaking would be impossible. Likewise, even sensitive electronic gear for the US military -- or essential parts thereof -- are made in China.)

The main bone of contention is Taiwan. When the present generation of geriatric communist rulers in China dies, perhaps the issue will die down. The other issues: China's support for evil regimes in Africa where they have economic interests, China's destuction of the environment, etc. really do not cause sufficient anger in Washington to matter. Indeed the present Administration doesn't really care about such things anyway. Perhaps they care a little about oil. But if they cared much they'd do something about economizing energy usage.

well, think about it, can you win a war by bombing the country back into the stone age? no, you do what sun tzu said, "One hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the most skillful. Seizing the enemy without fighting is the most skillful. "
so the chinese would never fight in a war, look at the conflicts the U.S. has gotten into compared to china. there is a huge difference. And there will be more terrorists attacks in the U.S. if they go to war with china. yes, they'll blow the white house, capitol hill, and your house

In one sense neither country could win, because neither is capable of occupying the other. In the strict strategic sense though, the United States would be virtually certain to win. The U.S. is capable of projecting sufficient force against China to destroy China's ability to manufacture the implements of war. In other words, China would suffer unsustainable losses.

At the same time, China is incapable of projecting that level of force against the American mainland. In the end, war always comes down to logistics.

In a conventional war; China. Just look what happened in Korea, dam near got our @ss's kicked but good and ended up a stale mate. To fight them on their own ground, numbers would be in their favor, not to mention the support they would probably get from Vietnam, Korea, and not sure if Russia would help or not.
To me it would be China hands down.

Chinas population alone wouldn't save their asses.

If America could fight a war without political involvement and liberal biased media around every corner, I think it could be done. It takes alot of money and man power to sustain an army the size of china's. Besides, they have a hell of alot of land to protect, they'd be trying to fight a war on so many fronts, they'd be out flanked in no time......if we could fight a godamn war without every armchair general and politician butting his nose in.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Yes, We would beat the 50M Man army

Why?

Because we have better tech than they do, we use sealth bombers to wipe out there major military and industrial facilities while our Navy is wiping there Navy, including there single air craft carrier out, instead of making this a ground war, we run 24 hour bombing/missile raids over there cities and villages until they surrender.

China has nothing to compare with our military. The Chinese invaded Vietnam in the 1980s and got their butts kicked back into China.
