Your cat is throwing up bile do to lack of food and water. The stress of the new dog is getting to her. Seperate them and give her the dog in smaller dose like his nose under the door. Let her eat and rest up and in a few days rub a towel all over the new dog and place it in the room where the cat is. This will let her get use to the new sent. Eventually move the towel under her food (always making sure she is eating proprely) she will then associate the smell of the dog to something she likes. You can do the same thing with the dog (rubbing the sent of the cat down and placing the towel under his food dish) this will help the dog get use to her sent and he will be less interested in sniffing her out the next time they meet. Also teach your dog the command leave it so he learns to give your cat space. It will take a bit of time and patience but she will come around. Give her extra love and attention seperate from the dog and this will also help her feel better and there should be less jealously towards the dog. Cats are extremely territorial (probably more than even dogs are since they live in packs with an alpha dog very easily) cat only tend to accept groups of cats and sometimes you get lucky and get a cat who actually enjoys being surounded.
Lots of patience and love and attention to your little girl she will come to accept and tolerate the dog. Remember cats rule dogs drool!

Kitty is probably just mad at you for bringing a new animal into her home... It will wear off in a day or so. The clear vomit could be stress or could be a hairball trying to come up and just a coincidence. As long as it doesn't last longer than a day, and make sure kitty eats in the next day or so. She will be fine once she starts to adjust. Might still be mad at you for a week or so.

Yup the people that said stress are right,,, We have the same problem with one of our orange tabby males. every time a new dog comes home. He throws up over and over again but nothing with any substance or another nice thing he does is poops in every corner of the house,
The vet told me that they are not only stressed but protesting.
just make sure hes drinking water, He will come around!

I have the same problem with my cat. It can be caused by stress(Puppy) . it can be the food she eats. I found that if i give her canned food she doesn't get sick as much.
If she hasn't had this problem before it is probably stress. You might try a hair ball medicine also. I hope this helps.

I think the cat is stressed and possibly jelous because of the new pet cats think they own you not visa versa so if you focuss attention on the dog more than them they could get mad orstressed because your not doing what it wants you to do

she probably just isn't used to the new dog, and is a little stressed. try to keep the dog away for awhile, so the cat will just get used to the smell of her, then introduce them slowly so neither one of them will get too nervous or stressed. new roomies can be scary sometimes.

She might be upset, or she might have worms, or even hairballs....
Kitties have sensitive tummies so it could be a number of things....Why not take her to the vet to have her checked out to be on the safe side?
