If you do, be sure to get the finest henna powder you can, some it is very rough and is very difficult to rinse from your hair. I tried it my hair is dark blond and I thought it would give it a red hi-lite and darken it (light chestnut brown), at first it was carrot top red like raggedy Ann (I actually liked it because I am Irish and thought the color looked natural on me and I knew it would go away). It faded very gradually and after about 3 weeks it was the color I had been expecting, then it just gradually faded away, I think it took several months, with no roots or streaks or anything. It coats your hair, I don't think you can do anything else to your hair while it's there, but it doesn't have the chemicals that are bad for your hair like other coloring. If you do a web search for "Natural hair color" you will probably find a site that sells it (I don't remember where I got mine, but it was easy to find), it should guarantee that it is the finest powder henna, they should also have several shades to choose from and I think a phone number for help, they can assist in color and any other questions. Hope this helps.
NOTE: I don't think my color would have been quite so intense if I had left it in for a shorter period of time, you are supposed to do a test, but I didn't and left it in for the maximum suggested time.

I would be afraid that the henna would dry my hair. Also, it would be very hard to predict the results. Try a salon or just go to the drugstore and find a good highlighting kit. I've done the same before and I liked the results!

Henna builds up easily, so you can't reapply as you would a dye. Henna is great for repairing split ends, as it binds the ends. I'm unsure about the color results you may or may not achieve.

Buy Loreal Feria- very rich auburn, warmer 66. Henna is permanent and may not get you that rich color. It may turn orangie. You are safer with a drug store dye. Wait 2 weeks and then put high lights in.

If anybody feel dry after putting henna, better to put oil first.
I think put your highlight first then henna. See in the site below what changes henna make to diff. color of hair and see diff. mixes to get diff. colors. REad all about henna ----

Henna is okay, but you can't perm after one. And yes it stays forever!! Can keep you from having even coloer hair if you choose to go with something else.

well, all i know is that if you're a blonde, it'll work the best. actually, my sister did a "light red" color, and she's a gold-blonde, and it didn't do a single thing. srry.
