The level of ignorance on this site is sometimes shocking.

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) my entire life and I can assure you that we DO celebrate Christmas. After all, we ARE a faith that centers every single aspect of our religion on the life and teachings of Christ so it should come as no surprise to any educated person that we celebrate Christmas. Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah has one of the most beautiful displays of Christmas lights on earth. So please don't pay any attention to those previous posters who don't have the foggiest idea what they are talking about. We celebrate Christmas and we give and receive gifts the same as most other Americans do who celebrate this sacred holiday.

I don't think it would be advisable as Mormons have strange views and I have never agreed that a person should buy their boss a Christmas gift but rather the boss should buy the staff a little something as I did for many years.

No they do not.

I stand corrected. I was not thinking straight, as I was a Mormon myself. When I read the question I was thinking of Jehovah's Witnesses from answering a previous question. Obviously I was wrong and Mormon's do celebrate Christmas. Sorry for my ignorance and mistake.

Yes, we celebrate Christmas. We celebrate it as representation of Christ's birth although we do not believe he was actually born December 25th.

Yep, they do!
Christ's birth - What better time to celebrate, other than His resurrection?
Go shopping and get your boss a gift...he'll appreciate it!

They do observe Christmas. If you want to get a present, you can do that.

They do, but you probably shouldn’t get him a cappuccino maker or a subscription to the beer of the month club.
