I do, because there's no point in repeating something that's already been said--and it annoys me when I get fifteen of the same answer on one of my questions

I do. Sometimes I get in a hurry and can assume a question is asking one thing, but after I answer and reread, I can see I was way off. so I check out answers.

Also I check to see if someone else has given the same answer I am going to give - why waste the time when a good answer has already been given.

And - I admit it, sometimes I am just feeling a little sarcastic and impatient....and I don't want to be the only person being a smart a**! Sad but true.

If you mean do I read other peoples answers before I give my thoughts on yahoo answers, the answer is no. When and where I have a thought or already know an answer I will just answer and not consult other peoples answers until I have submitted my own.

Yes. Why? Out of curiosity and because, if someone else has already given the same answer you would have (on more data-type or factual based questions), then why bother answering it with the same answer?

No I don't look at the other answers given before giving my answer. I do read them after I give my answer. (sometimes depending on the question) I do sometimes read the other questions that the person asked before answering their question. It depends on the question.

I know what I'm going to say, but I look to see if someone has said the same thing. No point giving the same answer as someone else.

If I feel moved to respond, I don't look at the answers first because I know what to say; if I don't feel moved, I will look, and sometimes, but rarely, I will answer anyway.

I answer first. I don't need to look at other answers to figure out what I want to say.

yes i do. because if someone else has already given them the same information that i would give in great detail. i can save myself a some typing and just confirm what someone else said.

and it gives me a chance to correct any mis-conceptions without having to use the edit function.
