What does it mean? It means you are getting gray hair at a young age....that is all.

I was about 19 or so, washing my hair over the tub, and found a gray hair... I had long hair at the time, and this one had been growing from the crown of my head, so it was a good 18 inches or so in length!!!
If you're fair, tell yourself it's "blond"... and don't worry.
If you're darker complected, I'd suggest coloring it.
1) Go to a good salon and getting it colored- at least the first time. After that, you can probably use something from the drug store or grocery store.
2) If you're too embarrassed to go to a salon for a coloring, you could use a permanent marker to color the spots that are super noticeable... take a small bunch of hair at a time, smooth it through your fingers and use the marker on the whole length... THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES ON THIS TECHNIQUE!!! This technique COULD be worse than the embarrassment caused by a visit to the salon... but then it could turn out pretty cool, start a new trend at your school...
There's always the option of "aging gracefully"-- accept that God wants you to look "distinguished" at 25 and live with it.

Its ok, most teens find a stray grey hair when they are your age and even younger. Not sure why, could be hereditary, are there people in your family that had a lot of grey hair at an early age? Dont worry too much about it though, if it is hereditary, nothing you can do about it. But, even if you dont have anyone in the family that went grey early, its just something that happens in your teenage years. I found grey hair when I was a teen and I didnt get grey headed overnight or anyhting like that-lol!!

Just don't worry about it. Stress can gray hair too and it could possibly be genetic. I've had three gray strands since the age of ten! I'm double that age now and there hasn't been an increase. Just don't worry about it. :)

Everyone gets grey hair at different times. My husband is 30 and has quite a bit of grey. It depends on your family history and genetics. Don't worry about it, it's probably a fluke if it's just one hair.

My sister has had a gray streak in her hair all of her life. They said it was a birth mark. Don't worry about it.

It just simply means that, that particular strand of hair has "died". All you need to do is take a pair of tweezers and pluck it out. Like you would when plucking eyebows.
I have done this a couple of times myself.
