Immunization is not mandatory for Hong Kong.

Do NOT get vaccinated.

A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into the bloodstream.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

If you go to the vaccination liberation web page, at
http://www.vaclib.org/exemption.htm
You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child.

If you want to study the history of vaccination, see

I am an American and living in Shanghai right now. You do not need immunization but if there is one I can recommend, do get your hepatitis shots.

I like to try all kinds of food and believe it or not I sometimes eat from street vendors & local restaurants (not often). I mean hey, if you are coming to Hong Kong and you are planning to eat McDonalds or KFC for the duration of your stay, yea than skip it.

No. I lived in Hong Kong for four years (2000-2004) and brought my toddler son there. Really nothing to worry about.

And don't bother talking to your local health authorities. They generally don't know squat. My experience has been they will jab you for anything and everything with almost no concern about your actual chances of encountering the pathogen.

There is none that you need. I have to agree with everyone that has answered that you should get some.

Heptatitis A and B at least and in general makes sure your tetanus-diptheria is up to date.

If you read the Center for Disease Control's recommendations, they are basically similar. The ones I missed is Typhoid and measles. All vaccinations are suggested not required.

Have a good trip and eat in peace.

Contact your county health department and speak to the immunization nurse. Some dept.s will do the shots for you, but at least they can tell you what is currently required and recommended. Have a safe trip!

No. Not really. I have traveled to China and I have gotten Hep A and B and a tetnaus, but I was in the countryside some.
If staying in HK, you`ll be OK. I have a friend who travels extensively to HK and has had no shots.

By law, no.
But I'd honestly suggest a flu shot before going to *any* destination, particularly one in Asia.

Hong Kong's great, you'll love it. Have a good trip.
