How old should you be to have a boyfriend?

I am almost turning 15 and it feels as if i am a late bloomer beacuse i havent had one. how old were you went you got your first boyfriend/girlfriend?

well it sounds like your life is pretty stable...if your fifteen and single enjoy it. i am sixteen and i am in a relationship but sixteen is really the right age to date.enjoy being single as long as possible.people who date at younger than sixteen,are just looking for comfort and securities that they lack at home....enjoy the peace and quiet as long as you possibly can.i had a rough life wich only ended up making me a lez.....and it does kinda hurt. alot of the times i wish i waited longer.....hang in there kiddo

I think its okay to start dating and experiences what it means to have a crush when you think you are mature enough to handle yourself on a date. Things happen all the time and people do get carried away with there emotions, so its important to know that you are capable of getting yourself out of certain situations. I too was a late bloomer. All through school I focused more on my work because I knew that I had a future to prepare for and I could not always depend on mom and dad to get me everything I needed. I didn't start to seriously date until I finished high school. I was a virgin until I graduated from college. And I am very proud of the decisions that I made to wait. I didn't sleep with every guy I had a friendship with and that made me more respectfully of myself as a lady. The choice is really up to; do you think you are old enough to date. I would just live life and experience all that it has to offer. Because dating, eventually leads to sex; and there are diseases out there with no ones names on them. You can easily contract anything from someone and babies aren't easy to have either. So think about it, and decide what's best for you.

I was 13 when I had my first boyfriend. After him, I didn't have another until I was 22. There's nothing wrong with being a late bloomer. In fact, I think it makes you appreciate having a relationship a little more. But that's just me :)

My first boyfriend was at the age eight but he was only like one of those play boyfriends because we were too young to know what it means to go out

but my real relationship with a boy was at the age 12.

Actually, having a boyfriend does not require how old or how young you are. As long as your ready for a relationship or a commitment, and you want to show your love and express how you feel and be loved in return. Maybe at your age its nice to have someone whom you can really trust and show affection. There is always a spark... look for that spark and have it always glowing..

my 1st real boyfriend i was 17. do not rush into it. you do not want to just date guys at that age. enjoy high school and your friends... it is not important to have a boyfriend at that age. I wish i would have waited till i was even older to have a serious boyfriend. i feel like i missed out on a lot with a boyfriend at such a young age. Take your time and wait till you find the right guy. it might take longer to meet the right ones. i was one of the last girls in my crowd to have a boyfriend.

it doesn't matter if you are a late bloomer or what, you must be happy with the guy you are, that's all. and of course it is when you feel you are matured enough, you can have a bf, but remember, going into a relationship adds onto your responsibilities and committments.

I had my happy times like thinking about the boys who I marry stuff in future back at school but it happened suddenly in me that I needed a man and I was 19. Thats when I realised oh I need a companion.
