I am in agreement with many that we must control our borders. It is a national security issue and the drug lords freely pass drugs into the United States. Okay but we have problems on both sides of the "fence". The "fence" will not stop the corruption of US Officials who allow these drugs to be passed. These same officials will have a key to open that "border fence" to admit the drug lords but will not permit the passage of the poor illegal immigrant that came to clean up your buildings instead of blowing them up. Why do so many drugs come into the United States? The answer supply and demand. We need these illegal immigrants to work the jobs that our so drug addicted nation will not fill. WE NEED COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM. We do not need to repair the damaged levy by placing our finger in the hole. We need to repair the entire levy. DON'T let these politicians keep you ignorant....This whole smoke screen/border fence is just a ploy to get them reelected. These same politicians know that we need this "illegal" work force just as much as they need us.....Think.....if it were not true would it have taken them so long to do something about it. NO it wouldn't have. The 911 incident caused us all to think....but did the illegal alien mastermind that event. No, he didn't so why treat him or her as if they did do it. STOP RACISM. HUG AN ILLEGAL ALIEN TODAY
Who cares build the fence. The American public has clamored that they wish for this atrocity to be built. Then once all those billions of dollars are sunk into the building of this shameful wall......there will be no money for mass deportations...You see this is why the government is building this wall... We all know that it will not serve the purpose for which it is built....They didn't even build a levy that could protect New Orleans..... the illegals crossing are just as unpredictable.....Build the fence so they will be able to say later well we don't have the money now for deportations.......Also you will see discounts on ladders on the other side of the border. You just need a ladder to safely scale the wall without a scratch.

The virtual fence is an imaginary fence paid for with real tax dollars. The fence will be like the Emperor's New Clothes; we can't see it but the government can.
We do NOT need immigration reform. What we need is ENFORCEMENT of the immigration laws. Stopping the illegals from swarming in is NOT racism. It's a national security issue. Why do we need to allow millions of criminals to roam free just because they are mexicans? I don't get it.
Now I am all in a dither and will spend half the night gnawing my knuckles.

It depends. SOME will be fence. However, I don't see where Bush signed the Secure Border Initiative requiring 700 miles of fence and vehicle barriers. I only see where he signed the Homeland Security Funding bill appropriating 1.2 billion for fencing/sensors/cameras etc., which could mean anything.
Boeing already has a contract and the funding bill had 5.2 billion to fund it, for a virtual fence, north and south.

Build a wall and keep them in the US. AMNESTY for the hard working North Americans (Mexico is in North America). We need them if you think we don't you need to do some serious studying. Leave the undocumented alone, americans should stop hating on immigrants and focus on teaching their children some damn morals. Mentor your children so grade school girls stop having sex, teach your children alcohol and drugs are not good for them, spend some damn time with your kids instead of bothering good folks. The illegal hardworkers are the least of your problems. Why do you think the government hasn't done anything about them? They know they contribute to America. The government just pulled a fast one by the radicals. Yes it calls for the wall to be built but it doesn't say how, when, how it will be paid, etc... They are just setting it up for immigration reforms. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Worry about companies outsourcing and building factories overseas. Why is there no outcry about that?? You are blinded by hate for diversity.
If crossing the border is their only crime then more power to them. Atleast they are not killing children in schools! I see white people transferring their children to black schools for safety reasons.
Deport all racist to Saudi Arabia!! or atleast give them a better education.

I'm afraid not; honestly I wish we could be an isolationist country in many ways; however, those centuries have passed.
What a useless waste of money. I don't even think it's going to be a sturdy wall for less than $2billion dollars, if they are using union folk to build it. Maybe they are hiring illegals and paying .50cents an hour??
I think Bible Belt people are happy?? Is that correct? I DO hope I'm wrong.

It is going to be both a 'real' fence and a virtual fence.

The desire to stop criminals from coming into our country isn't racist, it's active citizenship. Illegal immigrants cannot expect to be welcomed into our country when they break our laws, steal our jobs, not pay taxes, refuse to learn our language, deprive our economy by sending wages to Mexico, and get free welfare, education, and medical aid directly from OUR wallets. If you want to pay for them, then you are free to support them. But the rest of us shouldn't have to spend hundreds of dollars a year to do something for people who violated our rights.
