Global floods are a dime a dozen. Every time there was a flood in ancient times, the indigenous people of the flooded region started telling stories of the world being flooded. The truth is, it did flood their world. How far ranging do you think native populations were 8,000 years ago? During the end of the last ice age the Caspian Sea filled with water, what do you suppose the people in that region were thinking when that happened? As far as the Earth being entirely flooded, don't think so. You would have to import water.

Actually, the flood helps explains why they found mastadons with food still in their stomachs, frozen solid at the poles. Why so much of the earth is covered in water. Why we have valleys and mountains. Why almost every civilization over the earth has some form of flood legend. My personal favorite is the fact they've found fish fossils on mountain tops. NOw i don't know why some fish can survive in salt compared to sea water, but many different species have different abilities. Some humans prefer colder enviroments and others like the tropics. Animals can only reproduce within their own kind, but they're able to turn into many different varieties, such as a greyhound compared to a poodle, but both are still dogs. The dimensions given in the bible for the ark are enormous and listed at Genesis 6; 15 - 21. 300 cubits by 50 wide by 30 high. A cubit is considered 18 inches so that makes 450 ft long, by 75 ft by 45 ft high. Noah was instructed to tar it thouroughly and store plenty of food on it for every living thing.

Even if God designed a huge transporter like the ones in Star Trek and beamed ice from comets and the moons of the outer planets to the sky above Earth where it would melt and fall to the surface, every living creature on the planet would be crushed by the immense pressure of the atmosphere long before they would be hit by the rain and drown.
Noah didn't just need a huge boat, he needed a magic force field to protect him, the boat, and the animals from being crushed. I don't remember a magic force field being described in the Bible. Maybe that's because a global flood is purely fantasy.

Only someone with the mental capacity of a child would believe in Noah's Ark and a global flood.
Where did all the water come from and go which would cover the world in 3 miles of water (assuming all land was submerged)?
How did all 250 million species of animals find their way to Noah, or have noah collect them (can u imagine a snail found only in Australia traveling to the mid-east?)?
Where was all of the food and fresh water for all of the creatures stored?
How did all of the species find their way back to their homelands, and not result in the most massive extinction to ever hit earth?
Etc, etc...

Salt Water won't mix with Fresh Water.
I read that in Science one time.
Has something to do with Specific Gravity I think.

Fish have adapted to their environment just as people and mammals did.Adapting to environment is not evolution. In Calif. where i used to live, the city of Chino is 60 miles from the ocean ,yet when digging up the hills to build a middle school they found many sea creature fossils including a whale .I myself had found calsified sea shells up there hiking around.

There are many well known scientists who believe in a global flood and in fact from a creation science perspective many of the dinosaur fossils provide evidence for this.
