Lately while I am sitting on the couch he jumps up in my lap and wants to essentially make out with me. He nuzzles his head hard and tries to constantly lick my face. He seems like he can't get enough affection. Has anyone experienced this before? This dog seems to have all kinds of issues. He has to be crated during the day otherwise my house will be destroyed and he constantly pees in his cage as well as poop regardless of how long I leave him in the cage. I love him to death and want nothing more than to help him with his issues. He had previous owners who gave up on him due to these issues. He isn't fixed either because the previous owners studded him, lord help his off-spring. Anyones help will be greatly appreciated...

how big is your crate? it only needs to be big enough for him to stand up,turn around in, and to ly down. start crate training him all over again. take him outside to the same area before putting him in crate and right after hes been fed take him out to go potty.
When you let him out of crate take him directly outside. practice this over and over as part of your daily routine and he'll stop the pottying in crate. next for getting in your face, make him get off!
show your the pack leader.( limit the food and water from the cage until your home) feed him in his crate but leave door open.

The best thing to do, is first to get him fixed. That will calm him down and probably help all his issues. Another thing is exercise. Being in the crate all day, he needs a good long work after you get home and if possible a good long walk in the morning before you leave. Then he'll sleep when you are gone. Good luck.

How long ago did the previous owners breed him?
It could be just his season for it, but essentially you should probably get him neutered.
As for crating, sounds like behavioral/training issues, seeing a proffessional trainer would help, or just teaching him to crate all over again.
Is it possible to attach a doggy door so he could get outside for the bathroom?

Get him neutered and make sure you are spending enough time with him and getting plenty of exercise

if you can i would get him neutered, it will calm him down greatly and help you with ALL of his problems, but he will still be your loving pet don't worry.
