I think it's way cute. But for fourteen years old it's a little too weird. It makes her look older, which therefore is not good because of all the weird guys in the world. I would personally use that stile when your much older but hey that's just me.

no way get it cut shorter, kinda boy cut, but with bangs that cover the eyes.

depends on your facial structure....go to something like clairol.com, they have a "try it on studio" that you can upload your pic and change hair styles and colors. there's another one but I can't remember the name right now, it's really kewl, you can put make-up, change eye color, try on accessories. If I find it I'll edit my response.
