I understand what you are saying- I don't know if I can explain this well but I will try.
I believe that Jesus -the man, flesh part of him is not to be worshipped- he was fully man and I believe his message was to illustrate that we are not to worship the flesh or put a man above God.
At the same time, Jesus was fully God, the fullness of the Godhead was in him and was what made him who he was- that it the part we need recognize accept and is deserving of worship.
Jesus was God, He walked the earth to demonstrate to us how to walk the perfect instruction of God and also made the distinction between worshipping the man as opposed to God in his power and majesty.
I think God knew that people would one day be worshipping things like Jesus statues, the shroud of turin, material and fleshly things- had Jesus allowed people to worship him in the flesh, I think it would have sent a confusing message and we would have a lot more man worship than we see now.
I hope I was not confusing.
God bless!

Yes, because Christians believe the word of Christ and the New Testament which states the only way to the Father is through the son.
This is kind of a what is the Holy Spirit / God / Jesus trinity all about. Most people don't grasp they are all one in the same and I have heard some good explanations that may help. One is the solid liquid gas analogy, but I don't like it because it implies a more limited and non-omniscient view of God.
The simplest best explanation is that of an ant farm. Say God is like a human with an ant farm in the future. The owner of the ant farm has the technology to create a robot ant that he can plug his brain into in order to experience what it is to be an ant as well as communicate and interact with other ants. The ant farm owner sends in his robot ant and experiences what it means firsthand to be an ant and even goes so far as to tell ants about a blueprint for how to live out their lives and existence as perfect as possible. You can take the analogy from there.
So Jesus IS God, that's what Christians believe. They hence try to emulate God by looking at Jesus as an example and following his teachings. This is why he is considered the path and the light.

Believe the Bible? Yes, as it says that Jesus, or in his pre-life form, The Word, was a mighty god, which receives its creation and power from an Almighty God, than no, we don't worship him. Even the Apostle John never referred to him in the same sense as Almighty God. Buy any Interlinear Greek Translation of the New Testament from a Bible Book Store, and you will see that John used a completely different spelling for the word god when he referred to The Word and to his Father. He did use the same spelling when referencing The Word, Satan, and when men considered themselves to be a god. So, if The Worth (Christ) to be be considered God and not a god, than the same is true for Satan and humans. Not the answer Christians like, which is why they don't go to book stores to buy the translation.

You must be mistaken. Where in the Bible does Jesus rebuke anyone for worshiping him.
John 14:20 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
John 10:30 30 I and my Father are one.
"Not once did Jesus ever rebuke anyone for worshiping Him. Never did He refuse anyone's worship. In fact, He corrected those who scolded others for worshiping Him, as in John 10, when Martha was angry that Mary sat at His feet. And in Matthew 26, He rebuked the disciples for being indignant that a woman had anointed Him with expensive ointment.
Listen carefully to these verses, and remember that in every case Jesus welcomed the worship that was offered to Him:
* Matthew 14:33—"And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, 'You are certainly God's Son!'"
* John 9:38—"And [the man born blind] said, 'Lord, I believe.' And he worshiped Him."
* Matthew 28:9—"And behold, Jesus met them and [greeted the women coming from His tomb]. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him."
* Matthew 28:17-18—"And when [the eleven disciples] saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'"
* John 20:28-29—"Thomas answered and said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!' [Now listen to Jesus' response to Thomas' calling Him God:] Jesus said to him, 'Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.'" (1)

Yes, I do.
No, you won't be damned for worshipping Christ on the same level as God. Jesus admits that not only is He the Son of God, but he IS God.
I consider them to be the same.
It's kind of like water. It has three forms: Vapor, liquid, and solid (ice), and yet it is always made up of the same compound of hydrogen 2 and oxygen 1.
It's the same with God. Jesus is ice, God is liquid, and the Holy Spirit is vapor...but they're still all God.

Jesus is God the Son, and accepted worship while on earth. Where does the Bible say that Jesus told us not to worship Him?

No. Before the Bible was written Jesus and the Apostles taught through their actions towards others and before God.
Bible alone dogma is in error. This dogma is not found anywhere in the Bible.
At Jesus Baptism, God declared that this is my beloved Son...
I believe God over you. Sorry.

Yes I do Believe in the Bible.
In complete agreement here, in fact many times, people outside the Christian faith do see the hypocrisy therein.
JESUS is The only-begotten Son of God, the only Son produced by Jehovah alone. This Son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created.

To worship means,to magnify the worth of.In those terms I don't worship anything.I seek knowledge and power like a "good" gnostic should. You really can't hear anything about god that would convince you.You must experience him-her.

actually - Jesus said "I and the Father are One".
Yes, I believe every word of the Bible. The old testament is the new concealed and the New testament is the Old revealed.
they are inseparable in intertwined. there are over 700 prophesies about Jesus in the Old Testament and all of them came true. What are the odds of even one coming true:?
