North Korea is ALREADY crazy. I'm worried about that jerk selling sh** to terrorists who smuggle it in here OR THE UK to nuke a City or two. Then he can buy (or kidnap) more dancing girls.
If Chucky Cheese DOES nuke somebody - it's Armageddon for us all. Don't kid yourselves. We can't protect ourselves.

Yeah, it's called an ocean.
If we can keep China from selling them rockets and parts, they probably can't get across it.
However, they can attack South Korea, and that's got a lot of our money and produces a lot of our stuff (usually crap we don't need, but it's an "American Interest").
They could also attack Japan, which is an even bigger "American Interest". Especially since Japan holds a lot of our debt, and they might have to sell off some of that debt in order to finance more protection from North Korea. They could sell it to China, Russia (sorta friends of ours, for the time being) or they could sell it to Osama bin Laden, Iran, or Venezuela.
There are a million other ways to hurt the U.S. besides just attacking a few peeeeepul who don't produce anything useful anyway.

The IRONIC part is that almost ALL of the maneuvering and money notes and debt are only a threat because WE bought junk from the world that we don't need in order to live. Our biggest threats are there because we can't keep our money in our pockets and our desires under control.

The North Korean threat to countries surrounding them wouldn't be a threat to us if we didn't demand that the world produce trinkets at "Always Low Prices". We also might still have some decent working jobs in our own country.

If you want change, keep it in your pocket. Your dollar is your only vote.

They're not on the high side of the curve as far as ICBM technology, their nukes have the potential of reaching targets from Phoenix northward in an arc to Wisconsin. But as we seen in their testing, they can't get out past Japan. The most likely scenario will be attacks on our interests in SE Asia, mainly Japan and our military bases.

We do have an underground system in Colorado that watches
the skies 24/7. We do have missiles that could shoot down
any object in the sky that they deem to be dangerous or an enemy. But, if the Democrats are in office, we would first need
to have a dialog with whomever is shooting objects our way. If
the Republicans are in office and this happens, a missile will
be on it's way to protect the citizens of this great country.

Secret weapon, A condom that covers the entire country. Actually North Korea is Japan's and China's problem. Having nuclear weapons is one thing, having a delivery system is something else, they haven't a delivery system that can reach the US. But they do have delivery systems that can reach Japan, China, Israel, Russia or India, their nuclear neighbors.

we have the los angeles class boomers, full of nukes, next to impossible to detect, and can be lying off their coast and north korea would not even know it, that is our deterrant then, it was our deterrant during the gulf war for iraq not to use chemical weapon on our troops nor isreal, in the ned it our best trump card, we have more than enough nukes on the boomers to wipe out all of north korea.

What can N. Korea do to us if we don't go to them. They don't have the thrust power in a rocket to reach the United States. Besides, don't the US have some multi billion dollar anti missle batteries?

we have thousands of nukes for protection

what does NK protect itself with if the USA gets crazy? (the more likely scenario beings we have invaded Afganistan, Iraq, Vietnam, and Korea itself in the past 50 years or so.)

Yes, you have a missile defence system. Plus North Korea wouldn't be very wise to attack America, they wouldn't have had time to blink before your missiles were streaking their way.

if one should make it to the shore then North Korea would cease to exist. Not one troop would have to be deployed.
