You have a bad temper and a short wick. It is a defense mechanism for you to fight back when **** hits the fan. You let things get to you emotionally to much. To help control this you should try and do 2 things. 1 exercise a lot as when the body is worn out it will need to rest and your mind will not function with such rage when you are physically exhausted. 2 try Yoga as it will teach you how to clear your mind and relax. One more thing if you really think you would kill someone then maybe you should go and get medication to keep you calm.

I'm not trying to sound sarcastic or mean in any way but it sounds like you may need some medicine to help you quiet your mind. I can speak from experience that I've been there and medicine helped me. If you are on medicine now being prescribed by your psychiatrist then you definitely need to tell him or her what's going on in very huge details so you can get on some meds or get them adjusted.
Remember doctors can only treat their patience in this matter based on what you tell him or her.
Is there any where else you can go to sleep. If not try to calm things down by just getting out of that house and going and doing something stress relieving such as go to a coffee shop and just take 5.
If none of this helps and you are still majorly agitated and are serious about killing because you feel so agitated, you need to call your psychiatrist and tell them you need to see them right away based on an emergency situation. Don't do something you will regret all because you can't get things under control.
I believe there in a lower power out there as much as a higher power. I also believe that these lower powers work on the minds of people who have potential to do great things in God's world. Why else would Satan try to hard to bring you down? Think about it, and don't give in.

I can totally relate to how you feel. I am a mom of a small child and a wife to a husband who works many, many hours therefore I am left with the stress of raising a child and handling EVERYTHING myself. Although my child is old enough to be in school now and our lives have changed a bit I feel much less stressed. For about 1 1/2 years I have gone through a period of flying of the handle and not being able to relax my mind or myself and yes I to have had thoughts of killing although I would never act upon them. I know you hate the person you become when you get this way. It sounds to me that you have way to much stress taking control of your life. You need to find ways to relax your mind and in time you will feel better. Try going to a library to do your college work for quietness and afterwards maybe meet up with a buddy for leisure time to help you decompress your stress. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!! Your life will get easier:)

Sounds as if you are over tired.
Try some breathing exercises to relax.
Take a deep slow breath to the count of 5 and let it out to the count of 5.
Keep your palms up while doing this.
Find a way to get more sleep and also look for a Yoga class.
Sounds as if you need it.

It could be that you are depressed. I used to be depressed, but not so much in the "sad" way, but rather in the violent, angry way. I wanted nothing more than to just hurt someone. After I nearly put my fist through a wall, I went to the doctor. Now, I'm medicated & more on an even keel. Most people who know me would never know that I was that angry...it affects anyone, it's not picky, and when you recognize it you can get help for it.
Good luck.

You can have urges to kill. I do but I am not going to kill someone. It is normal to think about it but to become obsessed with it and physically make preparations to do it is a sign to seek outside help. Shutting off your mind as you refer to is called meditation. Try going to a quiet church even if you are not Catholic go to a nice quiet chapel and whether you believe in god or not you will be welcome there and you can talk to yourself, or god, or whatever you believe in. Try to think of a peacful place that you can visit in your mind. We always want to go home when life places us so far away. Find a place, a home within your mind to go to when you feel the need for peace. A beach, a forest, maybe a graveyard. Think of this place and the details like a tree. Think of the branches, the leaves, the bark, the details and when you visualize this place or object you will seperate yourself from the troubles within and without you. You are the center of your own universe that you create. Start creating a peacful place in your heart and your brain will follow. Go in peace my friend. If you choose death for others you have already died yourself. Resurrect yourself from this ugly living death. Go to your home. Your peace you have created in your mind that is yours and only yours. Within the heart there is a place for the weary mind to dwell.

If you're having urges to kill you need to tell your psychiatrist...you will probably have to take a break from college for a while until you calm down and learn how to control your stress.

When you get tired of the game playing with your shrink and still have no results, You may want to consider contacting me.
When one allows stress to overcome them and have these emotional reactions, there is tremendous alteration of the chemical balances within the brain.. would indicate why there is so much tendency to consider damage to others.

Seroquel has turned my life around! I am finally able to get a good night's sleep. I never was able to quiet my mind enough to sleep. Ask your doctor about it. It got me out of the hospital - the mental one.
