APFFTA-(americans plese feel free to answer)I have rcieved unexpected vitriol in reply to my previous innocent questions.I have visited all around America and love it-especially the passion of the people. To give you a simple analogy of how I feel -its like going into a chinese restaurant -your going for a particular flavour and experience. At the risk of sounding racist I dont want to be served by a Brit ,Yank or Iraqi, just a chinese man.Its the ambience. However when I've left the chinky I'll go to the pub and love to chat with people from all nationalities with different points of view. Some of you have said the reason your on the USA owned british site is because the usa site is alittle boring.I dont know whether thats true but all Im suggesting is it would be nice if on occasion we could have a uk perspective only and perhaps usa answer only.I'm sure we could both learn especially as you yanks seem to be a lot more positive than.we areComments please but when i put PNA at the begining

Oy. You don't want to sound like a racists but you say things like, "When I've left the chinky?"

And I don't know what your previous question was, but perhaps somewhere in it, there were similar clueless comments that upset some people. Maybe you should re-think your attitudes about other people just a wee bit...

And this is not the "USA owned British site." This is THE site that people in the US are offered as being Yahoo! Answers.

There is no impediment to having a UK point of view here - all that is needed is to give it in an answer. But of course, you should label it has being your view from the UK, when that is in any way important, as in relations between the UK and some other country, or as in viewpoints about political systems. For a British atheist has the same viewpoint as any other one, a British Christian has the same or similar viewpoint as any other, and so on. But a Brit will have possibly a different, and possibly useful, viewpoint than a Yank on such things as gun control, international relations, various customs and traditions....

Hi there:

Actually I did a google search and it brought me here. I never considered categorizing Q&A by nationality, I came for the topic only.
I suggest you request a specific nationality to reply if that is what you want. After all there may be a time you would like an american opinion or discussion.
I also would not be interested in a Brit only specific topic but I love the chance to exceed limitations of cultural boundries.

Cheers

Huh, now you are being racist to oriental (especially Chinese) people? 'Chinky'? What kind of education have you had? Or have you had any kind of education? Go back to school and study from the begining again. Or don't you dare place any more stupid question. Have you not realised that many oriental people can read and write in English too, so they are using this site as well? You are more hopeless than I thought.

You're certainly forgiven by this American, anyway.

I've seen questions like this before, and truthfully I'm not sure there's a difference between the USA site and the UK site. I'm logged onto the USA version right now, yet I'm seeing your question. I'm not even sure how I would go about getting to the UK site. It's at least certain that there's some crossover between them. So, it appears you're stuck with us. Perhaps we should be asking for forgiveness. :)

I guess we aren't as anal retentive as other countries, we are more laid back and don't really care what people think of us. I mean that's totally positive you don't hate us like some other Canadian poster yesterday informed us. Honestly, I didn't understand much of your post, so I'm not even sure I'm answering it correctly. It doesn't offend me if you want to be served by your own kind. Personally I don't care who serves me, I just want good service. What USA owned British site? Did I miss something here? I've never thought an American site boring. I never realized there were so many witty people who come here. nghnth.....

Mia, thanks for the info, I'm moving to the USA site....

Need to tell you this: "Chinky" is a racist word on this side of the pond. The current politically correct terminology is "oriental" for places and things, and "Asian" for people.

The vitriol is part of the American passion; especially that which you received from those who live near the east or the west coast.

I will bet that your use of the word "vitriol" sent a lot of people scurrying to find a dictionary. :) It is not commonly used here.

If you would like honest but probably cynical American opinion, feel free to email me.

i'm an American woman, and that i think of you're incorrect approximately maximum human beings of the yank women human beings, There are others from different places who do a similar element, are you looking around or are you purely judging us American women human beings? i think of every person who dose those issues you have stated, should not be forgiven, and people who understand them or understand of them ought to circumvent them like the plague. they don't look to be properly worth any ones time or complication. So go searching you will locate there are a number of stable women human beings available, you ought to be looking in the incorrect places.

I hope you remembered that our American friends have the right to bear arms(and the type that shoot bullits), so who do you want to be served by as America is a nation made out of all people from different nations it seems a bit rasist on your part(if it is possible to be rasist about America).
Apart from that , I haven't got a clue what the hell your on about.
Thanx for the points

Forgive you, no way. You are still being rude and offensive. As for your codes, they don't mean a darn thing to any one but you. No one in there right mind is going to sit there and try to remember your codes. Why don't you drop the racist act, and just post your questions, and skip the answers that don't appeal to you. Or if you are looking for a certain cultural perspective, post in culture

I understand the point you are trying to make, unfortunately, you are bound to get hateful answers if you let on you're not American. It's useless trying to appeal to reason, I'm sorry to say. Incidentally, I'm British by birth.
