It's not a matter of believing that Jesus and Mohamed weren't real. It's just that they don't believe Jesus was THE Messiah, or that Mohammed was divine in some way. Pretty easy not to believe these things when you already KNOW that your bible is really a collection of wisdom, not written by a deity. Once you know that, then any following religions based on it are obviously less than truthful.
It's all in the marketing. Once you look at the real history of religion, then you see that the characters are a soap opera, where truth is washed with an opera to help the heirarchy separate the masses from their production (money), and to inspire them to produce even more than their basic needs.
Once religion got everyone keyed on the quest for riches and competing for the bottom of the wage barrel, getting them to produce the wars and factories is easy.

Muslims do not believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour as Chistians do.
Jews believe that the messiah HAS NOT come yet. Christians believe that Jesus was that messiah.
Mohammed came on late in the picture of things and claimed that he was greater than all the prophets that came before him which includes Jesus. He claims the Quran is the most authentic scripture of all time. If you want a comparison of beliefs check the following

Jews don't believe in Jesus because they didn't recongize him as the messiah even though he fufilled the prophesies but they were awaiting him so they new one was to come they don't believe in mohammed because he says jews are confused christians don't believe in mohammed because The Religion of God was already started 600 years before any mohammed muslims belive in Jesus and Moses because they just stole those things from the bible/torah made them there own religion with a twist ...

because jesus wasn't the messiah jews were waiting for, like christians think he was.
and muslims don't belive jesus was the messiah, but a prophet, and believe in an additional prophet, which christians don't.
... its really quite simple, never understood why its so incomprehensible for some people.

Jews do believe in Jesus and Mohammad. They just do not believe that Jesus was more than a man, and that Mohammad was a man who had a good message for those who were not Jewish.

According to you: Bob starts a new cult, with himself as prophet, yet recognizes all prior prophets. You would then believe in Bobism? Just because you're right about our prophet doesn't mean your right about yours.

They chose not to.
They follow their own faith and it's definitions of things and those things don't seem to fit accoding to their interpretations.
