Bearshare is unfortunetely loaded with sypware. I'd use Limewire, or Gnutella, or any number of non Bearshare-related ones.

The results usually won't download because Bearshare isn't getting "fresh" results from the Ultrapeers (the computers that are supposed to index the content), either because the ultrapeers are too slow, or because there's very few around.

Regardless the reason, Bearshare doesn't have fresh information about who's sharing what files, so you'll see files that you can download, but when you try too, Bearshare realizes all the people sharing the file are actually offline.

i tried bearshare once, and it was horrible. i have been using Limewire for the past year, and it works wonders. it's also free so that's good. it says you will pay, but you never do.
