You mean Purchasing agent or Purchasing department.....

Large operation require, large amount of purchases, to keep it all on the par and keeping track of all the things is a big job and requires the help of lots of people. They are all part of the purchasing Department.

The people in purchasing have different functions and different responsibly.

The Purchasers are suppose to get best possible price for the same or equal or batter products.

In Hospitality operation within the purchasing there may be sub- sections,

Say Real Estate.

They acquire(purchase) raw land for developments.........

Food is very important in Hospitality Operation. Lots of money and items change hand over a short period of time every day.

Purchasing buys everything for 3 meals and lots of snacks for special happening thought the day and days after days.

They have to make sure every thing is delivered on time, so people do not starve.
