I assume you are still in high school. Did you tell your parents you have been injuring yourself? Well, if not then you need to. You shouldn't dianosis yourself because you might be wrong. Hopefully you are because BPD is a bad condition that is diffucult if not impossible to treat successfully. You could be bipolar.
Well, tell your counselor that you are cutting yourself. She will make sure you go to a psychatrist and get help. This is serious and your parents need a push into reality. Tell your parents you are miserable and t hat you can't take anymore. Their is insurance that they can get that will pay for nearly everything.
Don't suffer anymore. If you are cutting yourself then you do have a serious problem. Don't wait anymore.

Talk to a school guidance counselor or nurse. Or talk to your family doctor, they have ways of getting you help without having to tell your parents what you're being seen for. There are also lots of community groups. Check the phone book or again ask at your school or church.
While it's easy to read a textbook definition of an illness and think you have it, no one is ever a textbook case. It's always best to see a doctor, don't try and just diagnose and treat yourself.
As far as your parents, you may want to take the approach that this a personality rather than chemical disorder. In many ways it wouldn't be much different than if you were always angry and went to anger management, or had a friend die and went to a grief counselor.
I hope that helps. Just remember that recovery is a long, slow road. It won't all happen overnight.

You have done something good for you by admitting that you may have a disorder. I am a Borderline personality disorder patient. I do not completely understand the disorder, but I do understand needing to get counseling or Phsyc help. Try to talk to your parents again, if it still seems they are not listening then talk to your school adviser. Call the doctors office yourself and explain to the nurse how you feel, maybe they can have the Doctor contact your parents to make you an appointment.Just don't give up on it.

Print and show what you read online to your parents, and print your question here, and perhaps some of the answers.
Ignorance about matters like this can be expected by those not having had experience in this type of problem before; however, ignorance cannot be tolerated. If your parents refuse to help, seek help through your medical doctor. Even to the point of making up an excuse to see him, if your parents don't cooperate.
Seek help from another source if all else fails, even Child Protective Services. If your parents do not help you get help, it is a form of child abuse.
Good luck.

How old are you? Typically personality disorders are not diagnosed before someone is 18. Regardless, you do need to seek some sort of help either through a school nurse or your family physician. If you don't want to at this time talk to your parents about this, perhaps you have another family member or friend that could take you to the doctor?

Go to the doctor yourself. There must be a nurses office at school?
You do not want to have anything but a note from the doctor that you are a healthy individual. You do need help for the self injurer part, it sounds like all your family needs counseling!

Call your local community mental health center. Look them up in the yellow pages or call your local hospital and ask them for the number. They can direct you to services that might help without your parent's permission, depending upon what state you live in and your age. then hopefully as you get better they can help you discuss this with your parents.

Can you try to get help at school? They might have some conseling that can help you deal with telling your parents.
You should not have to do this alone. If your parents can´t face the fact that you need help, find someone else who can help you!

Don't get overly concerned with a 'label'. It is more important to identify your specific issues and deal with them. You should see a Dr. for sure. Perhaps an anti-depressant could help you stop hurting yourself.
