Yes, mange is very contagious. It is awful and the animals suffer. Clean your hands well or use rubber gloves, because many years ago, they told me, even humans can catch it. Poor poor dog.

yes, they can. one time we got a little puppy from a friend who had the mange (the puppy not the friend) and after a few days i started itching and breaking out and went to the Dr and was told that it was the worse case of scabies he had ever seen, and he told me that it was called mange in dogs,

If it is Demodectic then NO because it is hereditary and not contagious. Still the dog suffers and must be treated . We treated our German Shepherd for it and it was a nightmare (the Dr. visits and the cost of meds) It took about 8 mos. to cure her but it should never come back.

Yes, unless it is the demodex, which is herrditary and not contagious. Sarcoptic mange is very contagious and you can get it too, belive me I know first hand.
