Hispanic Catholics Why?

Question

Why would Hispanic people worship at the feet of the Catholic church after the Catholics were so nice as to slaughter their ancestors and steal their land.The first generation I understand be catholic or be dead was the basic choice,but why keep worshiping with a church that let its people butcher your ancestors with no apology.

You are talking about a group of people who form double lines down the block every time the "Face of Jesus" turns up on some dog turd pile, to view the miracle and you expect a rational answer?

Apparantely you haven't been to any Calvary Chapels which have not only many hispanic members but Pastors as well.(ie Golden Springs,Pasadena,and Chino Ca. for example)
And don't forget Mexicans are 1/2 Spanish 1/2 Indian so it goes both ways.Their ancestors both conquered and were conquered,

We all are more than likely guilty of
following traditions, whose origins are unknown to us as provable fact.

Listen to Jesus complain about folks not following Jehovah' commandments.

The Bible Matthew 15: 3 - 9
Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, ' Honor your father and mother '
and anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death. But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God, he is not to honor his father with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:" ' These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men."

Tradition is some powerful stuff for sure.

most hispanics have european ancestory mixed so the catholicsm dominated the paganism and we knew the true church.. even though we were forced into it and we've learned to forgive the whites (even though i have like one ameridian ancestor...)
