Well I did eat like this...one meal a day for a month and I lost 12lb but I didn'r really care about the caloroes then so if I did eat a little more healthier then I would lost even more....For people that say it's bad I don't think so...I did have more energy than I ever had when I was on this diet and also for the "starvation arguments"...If you start to eat, let's say, 5 small meals a day to maintain 1200cal and you ate 2000cal then you also will get hungry in the first few days...It's the same with one meal a day....If you eat one meal which will contain 1200cal and you ate 2000cal then you will get hungry at first but after few days you will get used to it...so people saying that we're starving each other: your argument is invalid

It's weird reading some of your comments here. Let's set the record straight at least from the way I see it anyway. Eating one meal a day doesn't mean starving the rest of the day. This is what eating one meal a day means to me. At breakfast, I would have an apple and a cup of green or mint tea. Mid morning I would have an orange fruit or banana or whatever fruit I find in the fridge or a small handful of nuts. At lunch, I would have some protein and low cabs, so that means grilled chicken or oven baked chicken and greens or salad. It could also be rice and vegetable risotto, pasta in tomato and tuna sauce, Lentils etc... After a couple of hours I would have a fruit salad and then to conclude the day, I would drink a glass of milk (soya milk or rice milk, or oats milk) and that's my day done. I can also sneak in some low-fat biscuits too or a few grams of chocolate or even a low-fat yoghurt, if I am not satisfied. So technically I am eating one meal plus 4 snacks/small meals, which will keep my metabolic rate working round the clock.

Sure you get some hunger pangs but nothing a cup of tea of water can't resolve. Also it's a great idea to keep busy during the day right up until bedtime. I came up with this diet style after the Easter after binging on lots of chocolate and pastry and so on (Quiche, I love quiche). Before that I have always watched my weight, meaning eating sensibly, but for some reason this Easter, I let myself go for about a week/two weeks.(before Easter and during Easter break).. I am only going to continue this for about a week and that should be me done. The best way to stick to a diet for long term period is to have a realistic diet, something you can live with for a few years or even for the rest of your life, this means portion control and eating clean. (This is not always easy, I know) Good luck guys.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

This is a ridiculous question. Eating 1 meal a day is unhealthy and any weight that you DID lose from this stupid idea would come right back as soon as you increased to 2 or 3. Instead, cut down your current meals to at least half their size, if not a third, etc. and stick in more healthy snacks between them. EXERCISE! That's the biggest factor in weight loss! It usually takes years to put excess weight on, so it should take the same to get rid of it.

Yesterday was my first day. It was quite easy. I ate my once a day meal at 4pm and went to bed at 9, but just before bed I had a protein drink shake with some heavy cream. I keep my food low cab with some fat. I think I will see results.
