Do you believe it would be racist to close the border with Mexico and not the Canadian border? Do you have a reason for your position?

For those that say no illegals are coming from the Canadian border, don't kid yourselves. They may not be Canadian citizens but a lot do come from there. Mainly Asians but the majority are Chinese.

NOt fair or smart to build it on one border leaving us strategically open on all others.... The fence why is it being built........Who cares build the fence. The American public has clamored that they wish for this atrocity to be built. Then once all those billions of dollars are sunk into the building of this shameful wall......there will be no money for mass deportations...You seed this is why the government is building this wall... We all know that it will not serve the purpose for which it is built....They didn't even build a levy that could protect New Orleans..... the illegals crossing are just as unpredictable.....Build the fence so they will be able to say later well we don't have the money now for deportations.......Also you will see discounts on ladders on the other side of the border. You just need a ladder to safely scale the wall without a scratch.

Uhhh.. WHY one with Canada? Is there an immigration problem there like from Mexico?
Why would we go through the expense and administration if there is not a justifiable need?
Racism has nothing to do with it - there is a practical need for a wall with Mexico - it is affecting our economy and there are millions of ILLEGAL immigrants. There is not that problem from Canada.
Why does it always become race? Can't issues be looked at for what they are? How about protecting the U.S. where it needs to be? If Canadians were coming in illegally in the millions I would be in favor of it also - but that is the case with Mexico not Canada.

I don't favor any wall. Go after the employers who hire illegals and fine the heck out of them and if they continue to hire illegals, then throw the employers in prison.

About the wall, I don't see where we need a border on the Canadian side right now. People aren't invading from the north as they are from the south.

I think we have an issue on our Canadian border, but it is different than the mass inflow on our southern border. I think we should address each issue independently and appropriately for the particular issue. I think doing the same thing 'to be fair' if it isn't necessary both places is nuts.

You don't put a tourniquet on both legs when one is cut off and the other is sprained, 'to be fair'.

Yes. I support keeping both tightly shut. The southern border to stave off illegal immigration (as that is the route most illegal immigrants use) and the northern border needs to be warily watched as well, to keep out terrorists.

2 walls. I agree. The 911 hijackers came in through Canada.

No,right now the most pressing problem is our southern border.
Down the road we can deal with our northern border. It must be addressed but 1st things 1st.

They don't need a wall anywhere if they would just enforce the laws in the first place.
