I have a degree in Food Science & Nutrition. The most important courses were bio-chemistry, which you guess it, is a combination of both. Having to chose just one, I would take biology because it is more practical to know how the body reacts and produces energy, then the actual chemical reactions that take place. Its good to know about the three different types of carbohydrates and what they do in your body, not the chemical formulas of each.
