Unfortunately some city ordinances demand that any vehicle that is not licensed or insured can be ticketed and towed. It is their way of keeping the city clean. The thing I don't understand though is why don't they go after someone who is actually breaking a law. The drug dealers, rapists, theives, murderers, drunk drivers. They seem to have so much time on their hands to issue petty tickets for something that is on your own personal property.

And why would someone be required to move their vehicle every 48 hours if it's in their driveway?

So if I'm off for 3 days I need to shuffle my cars around?

If a vehicle is properly registered and is in operable condition they would have no reason to require a vehicle to be moved every 48 hrs. You must be referring to a derelict vehicle and if so then you can be ticketed for it.
