how do you chang the heat element in a dryer? and what does it look like?

Unplug it first. On the Back you will see a raised area with screws around it, usually on the Right looking from the back. Remove that plate and there is the Heating element. It look like the old Spring you would see on Screen Doors of old houses. You will see how to remove it when the plate is off. It is easy. Just unplug it first to be safe.

U take the old one out & put the new one in it looks like a computer chip.It's easy.Good Luck
