It depends on where you get your puppy from. If you go with your local paper ,which by the way I wouldn't do ,the pup could cost about 100 to 150.Most likely the breeder from the paper will sell to any one willing to buy a pup.If you go with a rescue ,make sure it's reputable ,like Pet Finder or PBRC ,the pups could cost between 175 to 250.It's really just a guess.A reputable breeder the pups will usually range around 500 or so. Maybe a bit more.

depends on the line of dog you want, there are many different strains out there, i would go with a game bred dog, that wat they have the attributes of a true bulldog, game bred dogs are smarter and dont bite people, if you spend anything under 600 i would question the breeder unless you know them well, a good breeder will have some ancestors on his yard and you can see what they act like full grown and decide if the way the act fits your needs

depends on where you get them from.

Shelters- usually between 100$ and $250
Breeders(but only good ones) $750-$1,200

Pitts in shelters are just as good as bred ones but aren't certified or what not. Just make sure you get them young and train them well.

You can try to go to the akc web site as suggested but you will have no luck there. The AKC doesn't reconize them as one of their breeds. And you get what you pay for.

a purebred pit can be expensive, especially if you get one from a registerd breeder. expect to pay anywhere from $100 to about $600. go to www.akc.com for good info about pits & breeders
