Lets say you pay the balance on your credit card , how long would it take for that to show on your report? How often do credit card company report info to the agencies (every day, once a month)?

Most do it once a month to every 3 months. if you work hard to keep your credit good it will show open or revolving account. But sometimes you have to call the agencies to dispute things if like they have been paid and so on. then the creditor has 30 days to respond. I just went through it myself trying to build my credit. Hope this helps. Jennni

Most creditors update their account on your report once a month. They usually do this on you statement date.

I believe that it depends on the company, they all do it at different times.

Are you saying you paid off LATE payment? If so, it's best to ask them to remove it when making the payment- and ask hem to verify when they have done so.
