by herself in most of the wedding pictures?
Is this normal? Because I had a friend that got married and she had so many wedding pictures full and head shot by herself and only one of her and her husband which she never displayed. YOur thoughts.

Oh, yes, while she was married she had a life-sized painting done of her in which she looked so sad, again without the husband.

Haha. Sounds like she was reallly into herself and having a wedding she always dreamed about. Too bad she didn't think about the actual marriage part. It is common for a bride to take pictures by herself because she spent a lot of time and money getting ready for that day and it is her special day. But, those are for the photo albums. Pictures of her and and husband together should be displayed.

Not sure about the "she is now divorced" and how it's relative. But, yes, the Bride does a series of pictures
At home- getting ready
At home- after getting ready
Outside
Before the cermony at the church
After ceremony at the church
At the recpetion
Totally normal for her to be treated like that. The groom usually goes through the same series- just there are usually a lot less, because are not as tolerant to all that picture taking. ;-)

I understand that she is your friend, but she sounds very vain. If her pictures were done by a professional, and the professional did their job right, yes the bride should have posed for pictures, but the groom should have too, as well as the two of them together. then some with the entire bridal party, and some with the family.

Usually there are so many pictures, and a few are of just the bride, but the groom also gets some solo shots.
No, that wasnt normal. The photographer maybe thought she was pretty?

Well, it is normal for the photographer to take many, many more pictures of the bride alone than of the groom alone. However, they do take a good number of couple shots, and one of these are usually displayed.

Photographers typically take WAY more photos of the bride than of the groom. This often includes a lot of solo shots of the bride. However, any photographer that knows that they're doing will also take some photos of the groom by himself, and of course... there will be LOTS of the bride and groom together!

well, it is common for each the bride and the groom to have individual shots, but not a lot. mostly they should be of the bride and groom together and with the bridal party and with both the bride and grooms side of the family.

Yes, brides go and have formal photos taken......usually if they are having a pricey wedding. But, a display of both is the best what you are suppoed to do......no wonder she is divorced. My son married a girl and she had formal photos. On the wall in my house, I have an 8x10 photo of them together in color and 2 8x10 black and white photos of her on my wall.....they are breathtaking!

While it's true that the focus is on the bride, traditionally - I would think it was an overkill to have the large majority of photos of just her, and not the groom as well.

i thought the wedding included both bride and groom. years down the road, "mommy where is daddy in the pictures" she sounds like being #1 is her thing.
