It is impossible to be a Jehovah's Witness for three days.

Becoming baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. At a minimum, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness required hard work and determination at the time.

Worthy men have studied the scriptures for years and can't 'figure' them out! You don't sound like you have given anything much of a try, just a quick couple of church visits here and there...guess you are looking for instant enlightenment or something.
You can pick the scriptures apart trying to find meaning in them, but you must remember much of the writing is symbolic, not literal. Things are revealed through the scriptures through prayer and pondering.
We believe in God, the eternal father, in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We also believe that Christ suffered the atonement for all mankind, not just believers.
I wonder...did you have the LDS missionaries share lessons and discussions with you? Or did you just go to a church meeting or two? You still sound really confused...I hope you give it another try, but have a little patience and give the spirit a chance to help you!

The clearest example of 3 separate beings is the baptism of Christ. When Christ was baptized, I don't believe He projected his voice to the Heavens to announce this is my beloved son. I believe his Father, our Father, spoke. I don't think he projected a himself image in the form of a Dove to represent the Holy Ghost. I believe the Dove symbolically was recognized since Noah. This form was chosen by the separate being of the Holy Ghost to make himself manifest since He does not have a body. I believe if this was the work of one being chaning into 3 forms, it would have been noted in the scriptures. After all, the Lord is not the author of confusion . . . Satan is.

If you get the opportunity to watch Mysteries of the Bible on the Biography channel, they will air a program from time to time on how the Nicene Creed was established to clear up debate among the 300 sects of Christianity after the death of Christ and the apostles. It was not divine inspiration or revelation. It was a very political event that established the Catholic church firmly and abolished the worship of other gods. (Mysteries of the Bible is a nondenominational show that has both Jewish and Christian scholars each explaining biblical history and the history of the world at the time things took place.)

I believe there are 3 separate beings in the Godhead that are 1 in purpose to lead us to Christ, who is our Savior.

John 1 (New American Standard Bible)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
4In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
5The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

These verses speak directly to your personal search. The Word of the Lord is Jesus. He is the Light that shines in the darkness. If you do not comprehend this, you are "in the darkness". Looking at scripture on your own is good, but your time in the "Watchtower" and with the "Latter-Day Saints" has blinded you to the reality of the Trinity. Jesus is God and is Himself at the same time, that is part of the mystery of the Trinity. Don't simplify Christ just because you can't fully comprehend Him. Keep reading and asking questions. You are on the right path. The big question is whether or not you are open to instruction and guidance.

grasshopper,
It seems like you are trying to do it without a basis of belief.

In Christianity, the basis for belief is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you are going to be Christian, you have to believe in that first.

If the Resurrection is true, then all other things become lesser to faith than that. It proves the Muslims wrong on their rendition of Jesus Christ, and it preceeds in importance any other thing added to the Christian faith by the Mormons.

So that is what to focus on; Do you believe in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, or not?

I left and will never go back to bible as I have my own faith that not only makes sense to me it explains things and makes me a better person. I walk thru life and try to be good but for ME not something else. It may be I am on the path to Jesus, or Mohammed, or maybe even Vishnu but I cannot have faith in the religions that claim these as their idols due to the, in my own experience, corruption of organization placing obedience over spirtuality.
Glad u got your own path to believe in..enjoy it because those who don't ever search never truly find anything, but you looked and found your orginal path was your true path..a rare gift...good for you

"The Fool's Journey"

it never ends, and as you said, repeats over, and over in our lives

all the scripture quoting above is pointless, as the bible has been edited and thrown out by man so you have an incomplete collection of dogma that ends up being a very, VERY confusing teaching and religion as you see with your mess of a post above

it looks like virus infected lines of programming and you are close to a blue screen, better to go into "safe mode" and look at life without the programing of the Karast or the Christ ianity

I was raised Catholic, then embraced the living Savior, Jesus Christ. I got hooked up in an abusive church and turned my back on God.

I then investigated Taoism, then agnosticism, then dabbled in Wicca...and came back to my beloved Savior. God invites us to reason out (or argue out) our salvation in Isaiah 1, and those that do come to saving knowledge. God calls those whom He chooses, and those that are His answer the call.

You may "beleive" any thing you want... but you can not make any liegitimate claim to any small degree of understanding of God's Word unless you have come to God in The Way He proscribes and receied His free gift of Salvation... You may "study" The Bible all you want... it will have no menaning for any who have not come to God as He proscribes... Study brings no one to God... only after one has come to God in The Way will any understanding of His Word and will for you come...

edit note: you should give the compleat story before you post... if you have honestly repented and come to God in The Way He proscribes...then Praise God

Hi grasshopper,
=] -Yes, Jesus does love us immensly. Why? becuase the bible told me soo....yes, Jesus loves me, yes...
You get the point.
so....When you can understand the God is a holy trinity(3in1)
than you will have accepted a biblical GOD OF THE BIBLE.
You, see THE BIBLE SAYS THAT IN 1JOHN5:7 THAT THESE 3 ARE 1<<< MOST OTHERS TOOK THIS OUT, THEY ALSO TOOK OUT THE "BIBLE/WORD OF GOD" IN LUKE 4:4
MOST PEOPLE ARE USED BY SATAN, AND SO ARE COUNTERFEITS IN SHEEPS CLOTHING.
**It is impossible logically to not except the trinity because.....It takes all 3 as >>EQUAL<< THIS IS THE KEY. To bring out salvation for mankind. period.
we needed a SAVIOR/JESUS TO PAY THE PRICE/CLEANSE BELIEVERS THROUGH HIS BLOOK.
we need the Holy Spirit to pray to the Lord in Heaven, because he infact is in heaven.
and again Jesus is our MEDIATOR BETWEEN MAN AND GOD ALONE....IF WE PRAY TO THE SON, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT(NOT TONGUES BY THE WAY) NORMAL PRAYER....WE ARE ASKING JESUS TO 4GIVE OUR SINS...HE INRETURN MAKES INTERCESSION TO THE "FATHER"
BUT....THE 3 ARE 1.

**BEST EXAM>>EXAMPLE I CAN GIVE YOU.
SAY....
YOU HAVE 1 PIECE OF GUM RIGHT.
AND...YOU BREAK THE 1 PIECE UP INTO 3 PIECES OF EQUAL VALUE, RIGHT.
OK.....SO........DO YOU NOW HAVE 1 PIECE OF GUM OR 3???
YOULL HAVE BOTH. ALL ARE EQUAL AND MAKE UP THE GOD HEAD , THAT IS THE HOLY TRINITY.
GODBLESS YOU AS YOU SEEK THE TRUTH =]
