We have grown spaghetti squash every year for about 5-6 years. It is so good when it's homegrown, so I really hope you try it! Just buy the seeds from a store that sells garden supplies. Plant them in the ground (but give the plants room because they get REALLY big), water them regularly and watch them grow! Wherever there are orangy-yellow flowers on the plant, that is where a squash will grow. Best of luck!

Well, definitely zuchinni and spaghetti squashes are the most prolific in my garden. I tried acorn squash last year, but of course never got any due to the terrible summer we had. This is the first time I've tried butternut and they're so close to being ready, but may have to do some kind of squash ripening dance to get any!
If anybody's interested I've got a really good recipe for a spaghetti squash salad. It's kind of like a coleslaw. Also a recipe for a tomato and zuchinni soup that's great too,(or as my 4 year old calls it 'Bikini' soup!)

I grow spaghetti squash just from seeds from the ones I buy at the supermarket. They didn't grow as large, but that could be the fault of our soil. Remember to plant the seeds really, really far apart, as the vines need a LOT of room.
