Invitations? Are these engagement pictures? Look at other photographers websites, and on www.theknot.com for ideas.. The Knot is awesome if you are wedding planning. You can also ask for advice on their Los Angeles boards which are much more active than Yahoo Answer's Los Angeles Boards.

Some common places for engagement pictures are the beach (obviously) especially Malibu, Union Station, Placita Olvera, etc. Other couples go to UCLA or USC where there is nice architecture. There's a fountain right at Griffith Park that alot of people use for engagement or wedding photos. It's called the Mulholland Memorial Fountain I believe.

I personally want some at Placita Olvera and maybe some more at the beach. Union Station is really nice also.

OR pick someplace special to you like the place you met or the place you went on your first date, or where he proposed..

Just remember that some places that might not sound good come out soo pretty in pictures - especially if they are turned to black & white or Sepia. I've seen some amazing pictures taken at for example Union Station and it's so much prettier than you would think.

The Sportsmans Lodge in Studio City is a beautiful and popular place for romantic pics. Also the Castaway in Burbank (on the hill) is great, especially at sunset! The Magic Castle in Hollywood and the Japanese gardens at both Yamashiro(directly above the Magic Castle) and at Balboa Park in the Valley are nice, too. Hope this helps you out. I'm into photography so I scope these things out myself.

How about Diamond Head in Hawaii? Or Carmel California, Kissing Beach in Cabo San Lucas, or in Paris in front of the Eiffel tower, in a gondola in Venus? What do you think?

Everyone around here goes to Laguna Beach. But, I don't know where you live. So.......... anyplace with water is beautiful. Dusk lighting is also beautiful and subdued. Natural areas, near mountains are also very pretty. You chose darling, you are the star. Keep in mind though many brides ruin their dresses on these outings.

Depending on where you live. I think pictures of flowers or vines going up a stair case outside is beautiful. Also depends on the season. You know types of flowers and colors.

Catch the light whereever you decide to go. The golden afternoon light will look best and enhance your pictures.
