oh my goodness....i was in the Navy, and when i was in RTC, some girls would get there and decide its not for them...i know you dont know exactly what you are getting into when you join, but the military is a big thing, you sign a contract...
some of the girls I was with...they would pretend that they were going schizo, or constantly go to the doc with fake illnesses all the time, or have some sort of foot/leg condition ( like heel spurs)
they wont let you go unless they feel you are a threat to the others, or if there was something the recruiter did not put in your record and they found out in boot camp....one girl that was with us had this weird arm thing where she could pop her entire arm out of her socket, its considered a medical issue and they dont want someone around who has a medical issue

It all depends on the Branch. I can speak for the Marines, because my husband is one.
Medical hold is one way. Hold is the word, they hold you at boot camp till they know you are not healthy enough to serve.
If you get pregnant, you still have to finish the contract. You just start back up when the 6 weeks are up.
Refusal to train. Though I would NEVER encourage anyone who joins the Marines, then tries to get out by this route, to do it.
Your butt will be beat down. The only true way out is medical, and sometimes death of a spouse if you have children. If that happens, youre nondeployable.
So if you signed on the dotted line, you are going!

We had a guy that wanted out during boot camp. He kept screwing up and it cost the whole platoon. Basic is where you learn how to perform as a team. The drill instructors let us know that he was hurting us and that we had to handle it. He did get out of our cycle and had to complete the next available cycle after he got better. You signed up with a goal. Unless it is a for real problem you have. Don't get out. It is a great experience. Or it was in 1972. Now I have heard things are a lot easier from my son. Stick with it guy/gal.

You cant, unless you have a serious medical condition. You should have thought about it, before you signed up for military service. Nothing worthwhile in life comes easy, you can do it, just hang in there. Millions of men have completed boot camp in this countries history, why not you? Good Luck.

Unless there are family problems....Why would you want to?
Dan Rather joined the Marines, and always bragged about being a Marine.
The truth was that he never made it through Boot Camp. He went home crying to Mommie.
So he lied about being a Marine.
He always was a liar and a coward.
(If you fail boot camp, you will fail as a man. Beware.)

certainly because of the fact the economic downturn, extra human beings than ever have been turning out to be a member of the protection stress. This has, in turn, introduced maximum maximum contraptions to finished power and now the army particularly is lowering enlistment and re-enlistment bonus quantities and elevating the standards to get in. various people who tried to connect after dropping jobs basically basically did no longer qualify for one reason or the different, to contain age, training, scientific subject concerns, criminal history, and relatives hardships. i does not say that the folk who chosen to no longer connect by way of economic hardships lack self-discipline. in the event that they experience like they do no longer prefer to be interior the protection stress, we probably do no longer choose them interior the protection stress. additionally, i could argue that that's no longer for each physique. There are some jobs that civilians do and a few issues that they are attracted to that do exactly no longer translate to the protection stress. while you're actually not doing what you savour, the paycheck can no longer make that lots of a difference.

If you do not conform to the rules, or you do not pass the strength test given by that branch. Or you do not succeed at the rifle range.
