I want to find old photos or plans so we can attempt to restore its old character-- how do we determine original materials and What hazards do we need to be aware of ie lead paint etc?

U can also try checking the newspaper achieve. Sometimes they have pic of certain homes and u never know who owned it originally. Go to the library and ask around. It might be someone they know of or heard of....no luck get everything u can from that year or before because plans had to be filed. U might have to go to microfilm or microfiche but u should find it somewhere like that. Also ask neighbor and anybody who had lived in the area awhile. They can help with if the house had 3 owners or just 2. Even ask older people from that area,,,history they know of. good luck.

Go to the towns city hall and as for them. There should be a development section there.

TRY TO DO SOME RESEARCH AND FIND OUT WHO BUILT THE HOUSE ORIGANALLY AND GO FROM THERE, MAYBE SOMEONE HAS RECORDS OR PLANS THAT THEY HAVE SAVED, GOOD LUCK
