All the same places where you'd have any other marriage!

I had mine at a local B&B...we had the ceremony in front of the fireplace, and then we had the run of the place for the reception all afternoon.

My daughter will have her wedding at a local restaurant, where they specialize in weddings...The ceremony will be outside, in their garden, and then we'll move indoors for the reception.

I don't know where you live, but many people in our area often use nature as their chapel...Find a park or beach nearby where you can have the ceremony. The view in a redwood grove or birch forest can be amazing! Just try to find something that's not too hard for your guests to get to.

From there, treat the reception as a party - mine was the best party I have ever been to! I hope yours is for you, as well!

P.S.
I think your question is posted exactly where it belongs.

I close friend of mine is exchanging vows with his mate in a park. It's gorgeous scenery...as long as the weather is nice. Since the courthouse and most likely a church is out of the question, have you considered someones house? Or a backyard? Or even a destination wedding...on the beach for instance.

Vermont probably has some great places. And don't rule out San Francisco.

Congrats!

that is something that is going to take alot of research since the majority of the states are judgemental and dont see it as two ppl being in love. i hope you find that place and i hope it is beautiful for you and your mate. congrats to you both.
