What kind of german chocolate you have tried that was too sweet?
I tried german chocolate eggs that came with toys inside of them.
YOu first have to open up the yellow plastic case and you get a toy to assemble.

The chocolate egg you tried is called "Kinder Ueberraschungsei". It's awesome. "Kinder Schokolade" is the best. Sweets in Germany are a gazillion times better than anywhere in the world. So much variety and all tastes awesome.

I suppose you've tried Kinder Surprise...There is a chocolate that tastes the same, it's called Kinder as well, and the name tells it all: it's for kids, with low percentage of cocoa and more milk then other chocolates. Germany in my opinion has the best general quality of sweets, although without the really exceptional things like the ones you can find in Belgium, Italy or Switzerland.

Yes I have and quite frankly there's a WIDE variety as to the actual quality of it. Some german chocolate is terrible and some is great. However, I prefer Swiss or Italian chocolate. (Godiva sure isn't bad either.....)

The chocolate is more rich than sweet. Also it had a peanut taste to it.

I lived there when I was young and have visited there since and the chocolates there are very good. I enjoy the semisweet chocolate.
