I'm looking for a good bike that could be used on both mountain trails, or just on the street. (for excersizing)

Excellent choices are Trek,Raleigh or Diamondback,Specialized, and Felt are the best in the road category, Diamondback or Kona in the mountain bike category. Buy a bike for only one duty because riding a mountain bike on the road is a really a pain in the rear. I also recommend to look at the hybrids they have a straight handbars like a mountain bike and smooth tires like a road bike.

What's your budget? if you're wanting to use it for mountains, I would think you would need to spend at least 300 bucks....

Also, Specialized, GT, Trek and Giant have some great choices. Go to a dedicated bike shop, they can help you out finding a good bike.

ask yourself, how much are you willing to spend? Specialozed, Trek, and GT have a nice selection, but for mountain, expect to pay around $400. you might want to get a hardtail (no rear suspension) at first. they are much lighter and are good for exercise.
