Tomato juice is the classic way to solve this. Add it to the food or water.
Adding lime to the deadspots will also help nuetralize the brown spots.

Put some tomato juice on your dogs food, after you start noticing the spots going away you only have to add a couple of times a week. It changes the acidity of their urine and it will no longer burn the grass. I have done this for years with my dogs and I don't have any brown spots in my yard.

You'll have to spend some dough to completely fix the problem. Best bet would be a motion sensored sprinkler.

If that's too much, do it the ole fashioned way. Small fence, mean angry sign, shotgun poking often from your blinds.
Good luck.

I`ll answer ur question with a question......which is more important and meaningful to u, ur dog or ur grass ? Ur grass will grow back eventually, but should ur dog die, will u get it back alive. Its all a matter of priority. Me, I`ll pick my dog everytime.

Build a dog run or tie your dog in a part of the grass that is already dead.

Add lemon juice to your dogs water. That will help to neutralized the ammonia in the dogs urine...which is what is causing the bruning.
