It's probably not the best thing in the world for them but I seriously doubt that it will do much harm. I have a cat that goes nuto over french fries, I only let her have a couple at a time and nothing has ever happened, she's never gotten sick from eating them or anything. I wouldn't suggest giving them to your cat real frequently but every once in a while and small amounts won't do any harm. Yeah, yeah, I know, if you ask a vet they will tell you absolutely no human food blah, blah, blah. Nothing will happen to your cat.

I'm sure that they CAN, as in, are physically able to, I'm just not sure whether or not they WOULD, and whether or not they're good for them.
I'm guessing that since French fries aren't healthy for humans, they won't be much healthier for cats. And I really don't know if a cat would even eat a French fry.

A cat can eat almost anything it wants to eat. We had one once that would eat tomatoes and dill pickle slices. Whether or not your cat would eat french fries is another matter. It probably wouldn't hurt, but it is not really cat food.

Cats will want to try about anything you allow them, but just like people cats have their own likes and dislikes. As far as people food I would not suggest giving them any. They make cat treats for that!!

sure why not just give a couple to them dont over do it because it is a fried food which isnt even good for humans

Yep. Mine does lol. She eats EVERYTHING!! I swear! Chips, fries, and her personal favorites : chicken in a biscuit, and green pimento stuffed olives! You can find pics of her on my myspace.

Of course they can! It won't hurt them if it's only given to them every once in a while as a snack. Every day might be harmful, but then again, it's the same with humans.

They can but they shouldn't- too much salt and grease. AND you are risking some nasty diarrhea.... in the cat.
