Which Sims 2 Expansion Pack for PC should I get?

Should I get Sims 2 Pets, Sims 2 Nightlife, or Sims 2 university? Which one is the best? I can only get one!

If you are an animal lover, you will enjoy having Pets. It hasn't come out just yet, but it is really promising from all the movies and reviews I've seen.

Now if you're pretty much an average Simmer, that likes to 'freestyle' their game and create families and do a lot of 'boy meets girl' type themes, you will absolutely LOVE Nightlife! There is a lot of social stuff built into the EP and fun things like cars that can drive around town.

If you would prefer expansions which forces you to game for certain goals and really raises the challenge level, then get Open for Business. It has been the most challenging of expansion packs to gain expertise in.

Now I absolutely love University. All the band music pieces and the fun things that can be done at Uni appeal to me. I play it without cheats and have gotten to the point that my sims usually get other sims to do their assignments and term papers. So my sims take a lot of expresso and go partying all the time. (It is best when combined with Nightlife). The main thing you gain with Uni is that your Sim becomes quite powerful and can control more wants, thus gain more platinum more quickly and achieve lots more aspirations and rewards which is very handy for the goal of achieving lifetime wants!

The other EPs are great enhancements to the base game -- ALL of them add important things to the game play. But I think Nightlife adds the most social fun aspects to the game. The other EPs are more specialized to different goals.

If you can only get one EP at all (ouch!), either wait for Pets if you're absolutely an animal lover -- or definitely get Nightlife.

I liked University better than Nightlife, although the cars and vampires are pretty cool.

But college can take a while.

If you want your sims to have more realistic lives, with more opportunities for friendships and advancements, as well as all the plusses of the college life, Uni is for you.

If you just play your sims and make them have a fun and rich lifestyle, NL is for you.

Pets sounds cool, but it's a pretty one feature pack. I mean, pets. That's what you get. Sure, you get werewolves too, but basically, pets.

With Uni, you also get lifetime wants, you can influence people, you get new careers, and you can get into secret societies.

With NL, you get cars, vampires, downtown, resteraunts, dates and outings.

With Pets...you get pets.

I would get Pets! The animals will be so much more realistic in this one then the Unleashed one. There will be tons of types of dogs and cats, plus you can design the looks of the dogs and cats. Dogs and Cats will be able to breed so if a pug and a poodle were to mate and have puppies in the game, the puppies would be puggles! (pug and poddle genetics combined) The puppies, by the way, look really cute! There will be alot more cool new stuff too, like new interactions and the like. Hilary Duff will appear as a NPC with her dog LoLa in the game too! (I don't care anyway though) Check the website out for details. Hope this helps!

What about Open for Business. It's the best one I think.

But otherwise Nightlife is very good.
Not University though. It's not all that bad but if you can get only one, don't waste your money on this one, get Nightlife. Pets looks cool too but it's not out yet so we never know.
