We'll make a running tally of all of the steps. She can use the sperm up immediately or store the sperm for up to four days, so the first stage is 1 - 4. Then she takes two days to pass fertilized egg one, which adds up to make 2 - 6. Then she (lets call her a Quaker) lays four more, so 10 - 14, until the last one comes, if one is laid every other day.

It'll probably be within the first 24 hours.
Birds have a weird way of reproduction.
Some birds can even lay non-fertilized eggs, hence the reason why we can have bacon eggs and toast for breakfast.
haha. Well anyway, most household birds only lay eggs when their fertilized, so if the female bird laid an egg within the 24 hours (usually what happens) then the egg is about 99.9% likely to be fertile, and will have to be specially taken care of.
Good luck, hope everything works out.

Depends on the kind of bird. After cockatiels breed it takes 18-21 days for them to lay a egg and then they lay them every other day.

10 days and eggs will be laid, 21 days and they should begin hatching and 8 weeks before the babies can be taken away from the parents. At 10 days old you can begin hand feeding them to keep them tamed. But educate yourself first before trying to hand feed.
