Never point out to a guy what you think is a fault of yours. Chances are he won't even notice unless you point it out first. Unless....you told him you were a size 6 and you really wear a 16.

Congratulations on losing weight.
I am overweight myself, and I don't let it hold me back from meeting people. Has this guy seen a picture of you?
Don't let it hold you back from meeting him. You are better off knowing if you guys are going to be compatible or not. What if you procrastinate around until you lose the rest of the weight, and you guys don't like each other? Then you've just wasted a bunch of time for nothing.
Don't mention it to him either. You don't want to come across as insecure. Just be confident with the person you are right now. If the only reason he didn't like you was because you've got a few extra pounds, then he's not worth your time anyway.
Good luck and I hope everything works out the way you want it to!

Don't listen to the people that say be yourself or if he doesn't like you the way you are, it's not worth your time crap. That is in an ideal world. If you really want this to work out, be realistic. Men just don't like fat women. There is a chance he may not care, but that chance is very slim. Again, let's be realistic. I would blow off the meeting as long as I can. Just be creative like you have to go away for business, etc, etc... Of course, this also depends on how much weight you need to lose. I mean, if it's like fifty pounds or something, it'll take a while. If it's like 10-20 lbs, it's doable to lose that in 4 months of going to the gym everyday. I highly recommend treadmill or step machine for 1 hr each day, everyday! Of course, after you lose the weight, you can just go to the gym for 2-3 times a weeks just to maintain it, but in the beginning, you need to be extreme. Also, even more important is to change your diet. If you eat more calories than you burn, you're wasting your time. Eat only salad and non-fattening foods. I think you know what is good and what is not good. I would just stay away from fat completely like mayo, cheese, milk (unless it's non-fat), and ice cream. Anyway, it'll be a lot of work, but if you really like the guy and think it's worth it, you now know what to do.

If the guy really likes you for you he won't care. Meet he and see what happens. If he blows you off because you still have a little bit of weight to lose he is not worth your time.

Well, in today's society, if you say you need to lose a few pounds... Most guys think that means you need to lose 100 pounds...
I'd wear something that wasn't obvious if you're obese... If you need to lose 10 pounds most guys are not going to notice. Loose clothing will cover a multitude of pounds. Just continue to work on it...

Its dangerous to meet guys in person you met online. because they aren't always who they say they are. When you do meet him, make sure you bring some friends just to be on the safe side.

it doesnt matter what you look like. if he really likes you its because of your beaming personality not because of how you look or your weight. if he doesnt want to be with you because of your weight tell him that it really isnt working out and brush it off. remember there's a lot of fish in this sea.
