Hey Phil, I asked so I wouldn't have to look it up. Take one point away from the Atheists.

This is a fabulous question and one deserving an answer no matter how many times it has been talked about before.

God is a merciful and just God. He has declared that we all will be judged based on what we know and what we did. Those that have not had the chance to hear the Gospel (what ever that might be) can not be judged bassed on that. This applies to those who are too young to understand also or those who have not reached the age of acountability. God will not punish where there has not been sin.

All will have a chance to except or regect the Gospel of Christ. All will have the chance to recieve those ordinences nessesary for salvation. God is merciful to say anything else would be wrong.

Exactly! I don't know how long ago but there was a group of people found in the Amazon in Brazil who have Never had contact with outside people. They just do the basic things necessary to survive. They even speak their own language that no one else understands, that's how isolated they have been from other people since I don't know when. How can someone say these people are damned to hell?

You're not one of them. You weren't drowned in the big flood either, so I guess you are not without some goodness. But while you're at it, ask; what about the untold number of aborted babies that will never hear his name? Accept the world, forgive God, and move on with your life...

Look it up. There's plenty of discussion out there on this one, many differing opinions. And no, different opinions does not invalidate Christianity. It's not God's word, just man's interpretation of God's word and is therefore allowed to be flawed.

Many people compare those people to children, people who could not understand Jesus. One case due to lack of maturity and one case due to lack of exposure. This is the reason they say these people have a shot at heaven.

God mercy and compassion is without limit. Only God know for now what happened to them when they died.
