Umm...I wouldn't cut my own hair if I were you. It's better to get it done professionally.

Yes, it's what I always do to my hair. Take a section about 1/2" wide and 2" long, holding with your index and middle finger (comb it out if you need to) and cut with the scizzors pointing up and slightly slanting towards your head. Now with this same section you just cut, comb it again and hold it more straight up and do the same thing again with the scizzors, cut up and slant in slightly. You'll need someone to help you with the back, or if you have two mirrors facing each other you can cut the back that way, so you can see what you're doing.

just take a little bit of your hair @ a time. raise it up in front of the mirror...and snip away. i did it for myself about 2 weeks ago...and it turned out great.
