Surprise! Surprise! RAMADAN is indeed a name of a place...well actually several places which can be found in following countries.

Uzbekistan
Central African Republic
Ostan-e Mazandaran, Iran
Artvin Ili, Turkey

and NO, am not from Ramadan!

From Ramadan?. that is not even a question! the question should be what is Ramadan?.
But I am going to answer your partly asked question, Ramadan is the the one and only month that the Muslims consider Holly... I wonder about it..?.. so it is Islams Holly month of Ramadan... I don't know much .. but that I know!

Correct spelling is Ramadhan and no it is not a city or place. It is the Holy month in the Islamic calendar where Muslims fast.
