Some people often tell me what god's intentions are or they explain things in terms of god. Isn't this a good way to make a person ignorant to other possibilities? Sure the existence of god is possible but should you let that idea influence all your decisions and opinions. Like people who will not except evolution because their bible doesn't agree with it. Well maybe god created man through evolution or maybe god doesn't exist. Could you just consider it without referring to your bible or pastor?

Yes they should
The more open minded we are the more we will get along. And be able to work together through problems that effect us all. Like global warming for instance. EVERYONE in the world will be effected by global warming in just a little while. And instead of doing anything about it we worry about what "God" is telling us to do Rather than what we need to do.
if you have the same answer to every problem or question, we will be caught up in an awful cricle that will never end.

I strongly think that EVERYONE needs to make a better effort to understand and accept the cultures around them. I don't just mean Bible lovers, I mean atheists too. we could all be more openminded in some way.

I did that. For about fourteen years.
I believe in MICRO-evolution (evolution within species), but not MACRO-evolution (fish became mammal, mammal became man).
I also very much believe in the Bible.
I don't go to church, so I don't have a pastor.
The Bible can be supported with historical and scientific evidence. If there was NO historical or scientific evidence for it, I would have nothing to with it.
While I rely on God for many things, I also rely on my own wisdom and insight, even though I realize that I have it because God allows it.
ACH, I AM a stereotypical Christian!

The box of the One True God is far greater than all the universe and far higher beyond all human imaginations.
God knows His creation, therefore only Him can tell its reality and its purpose.
Of course, no people (including me) understand the immensity of God, so we cannot base on humanly narrow-mindedness to deny God or to consider God as something smaller than our imagination (yes, we have only very limited imagination, and we have no knowledge.)
We may cherish love and have knowledge about it if we turn to God for learning.

"GOD hath, at all times and under all conditions, been wholly independent of His creatures. He hath cherished and will ever cherish the desire that all men may attain His gardens of Paradise with utmost love, that no one should sadden another, not even for a moment, and that all should dwell within His cradle of protection and security until the Day of Resurrection which marketh the dayspring of the Revelation of Him Whom God will make manifest."

Yes. I hate people who can't seem to think out side the god box. I live in the south, which is known as the "bible belt". I get a lot of people who tell me about god, take the bible seriously, explain/tell part of the bible or say you should repent so that you don't go to hell. My words to this is "either way I win."

there are many ways one can interpret a variety of theories and thoughts which have been discussed both by religious and evolution backers. yes everyone has their own theory and each may be right to a certain extent as no one really knows at the present time. we need to wait and see what discoveries are to be made.
