I lift weights 4-5 times a week now. I used to run but had to stop for ~10 months bc of various injuries. I want to start back a couple times a week, but have no clue when the best time is. Running before I lift seems like a good way to get really tired and not be able to lift my max. Running after seems like a good way to destroy some of the muscle I just built.

What should I do? When would be the best to run?

Worldstiti,

I fail to see how walking is healthier, it burns far fewer calories than running. Also, the human body is designed for running!!! We evolved into bipedalists for a reason.

Roy,

What's the point in lifting if I'm just going to destroy the muscle? Running doesn't build upper body muscle, it burns fat. How would I gain upper body strength and mass by destroying muscle?

WHY WORRY ABOUT DESTROYING MUSCLE YOU BUILT UP? IF YOU'RE RUNNING ITS GONNA TONE YOU UP NEVER MIND THE MUSCLE BOUND LOOK. DO YOU WANNA LOOK LIKE A MUSCLE HEAD OR DO YOU WANNA LOOK PHYSICALLY FIT??
